As an accomplished artist, the client wanted to develop a disused north facing paddock into an inspirational place that reflected her interests in nature and that would complement the historic farmyard setting. In discussion with the client it was agreed that they would like keep rare breed ducks and poultry as well as enjoy a productive orchard. We noticed that all guests driving to the client’s home had to reverse onto the adjacent highway on their departure.
Using the run off from an adjacent out building our proposals created a pond that provided a range of view types. We developed a site specific meadow/prairie planting mix to provide good ecosystem support. We also proposed a revised entrance circle around a mulberry tree to give safe access to the property.
