Well I never, talking about designer bears, I’d like to say congratulations to Auntie who has managed to get the infant terrible of young Brit Fashion on board for their Children in Need Appeal. Some brilliant mind at Auntie has persuaded luminaries from the fashion world to recreate our Pudsey Bear and are auctioning them on EBay.
He a real cutie this one by GD, don’t you just love his wrinkly tummy, makes me feel good about my own; though I think that mine spray painted silver would definitely not be auctionable. Loving the use of fringing and lace and the starry eyes, a brilliant metaphor for little character who has made it to the heart of the nation for at least one weekend this winter and helps so many kids throughout their dark days. Shine a little light!
What better way to celebrate the uniqueness of this totally British fundraiser than to have some wacky and interesting versions of the delightful chap, it makes a difference from sitting in a tub of beans/lard/whatever or shaving off your topknot. AND FYI the Giles Deacon Pudsey made £942.00 for CiN
