The creation of a rapid bus transit system was foundational to Kent Thameside, a development of 25,000 new homes and 50,000 new jobs as part of a 20-30 year plan to regenerate North Kent. Seconded to the Babtie Landscape Architecture team, Anna Tennent worked on the EIA developing the ZVI drawings and producing plans for phase one bus.
The creation of new core express route using existing traffic infrastructure allows Fastrack priority that enables it to run accurate and timely services in an area of traffic congestion.
The development of Kent Thameside was dependent on an appropriate tram like network. The Fastrack network provides this.
