This charming furry sight is part of eco-forward Paris Mayor, Bertrand Delanoë’s grand plan is to make the City of Lights a greener place.
Used widely on farmland and for profit the non-rural Urbanists are calling the sheep’s efforts “eco-grazing”. Two four foot-tall sheep from the Breton breed will live and, more importantly, eat in a half acre patch of park.
Tourists and locals alike can gape at this pastoral sight in the city’s 19th Arrondissement, the home of the Conservatoire de Paris, one of Europe’s premier music schools.
Happily for the sheep they’ll be stood down from active mowing duty in October to return to a quieter life in warmer climes.
